Introduction

Golf is an enjoyable, fun and exciting sport for people of all ages and abilities. Playing golf when you are vision impaired or blind is something VISACT can assist you with. Canberra boasts one of Australia's leading vision impaired golfers, Len Hogg who represents Australia at the World Championships. Golf is coordinated by Stephen Fagg who is a keen golfer and has played in the NSW and South Australian Opens.

VISACT Golf is gearing up for a big season in 2008. The year will start off with the Interstate Stableford Challenge at Yass G.C in February. In March the West of the Mountains Trophy will be held in Mudgee followed by the Victorian Blind Golf Open in Rosebud. From April to August, VISACT Golf will be organising 4 trips to Sydney (Barnwell Park) for the Monthly Medal which is an 18-hole stroke event. There will also be 3-4 rounds organised in Canberra over that time. In September the NSW Open will be held over 2 days followed by the Erik Royds Perpetual Trophy. In October the Australian Open and Western Australian Open will be held in Perth. So it is a big year being planned so get in touch with VISACT Golf.
